1. Who we are
This website is operated by C&D Pest Control Ltd (company number 12854462), providing pest-control services. Information about estate management services will be added as those website pages are developed. For the personal information described here, C&D Pest Control Ltd is generally the organisation responsible for deciding how and why that information is used.
You can reach us at [email protected] or by calling 07432 194360. Our registered office is 41 Park View, Sedbury, Chepstow, NP16 7PE. This may differ from the general contact address shown elsewhere on the website.
2. Information we may collect
Depending on how you contact us or use our services, we may collect:
- Names, telephone numbers, email addresses and contact preferences.
- Home, business and service property addresses, including postcodes.
- Details about pest activity, affected areas, service requirements and proposed work.
- Information you choose to include in messages, photographs or attachments.
- Appointment, site visit, quotation, contract and service records.
- Records of communications with you, and technical details needed to operate and protect the website.
Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive personal information in an enquiry.
3. How we use your information
We use relevant information to respond to enquiries, assess and quote for work, arrange appointments, deliver pest control or property services, keep service records, handle queries or complaints, meet legal obligations and protect our systems.
When you submit the dedicated pest enquiry form, your details and any optional attachments are sent to C&D through its business email service so the team can contact you and manage your request. The website does not permanently store your uploaded files, although copies will be held in the receiving mailbox and may be saved as part of C&D's normal enquiry records. C&D may separately record enquiry information in its customer relationship management (CRM) system. Direct automatic submission into the CRM is not yet active and will be reviewed when that connection is introduced.
4. Our reasons for processing information
Under UK data protection law, the appropriate legal basis depends on the circumstances. These may include taking steps before entering into a contract, performing a contract, complying with a legal obligation, and our legitimate interests in operating the business and responding to relevant enquiries. We use consent where required, including for optional analytics storage.
5. Website technology and cookies
Our hosting provider may process basic technical and security logs, such as IP addresses, browser and request details, to serve and protect the website. The site may also request fonts from Google Fonts; your browser may connect to Google's servers to download them.
We store your choice about optional cookies in browser storage. Google Analytics is not connected to this staging build. If enabled later, it will only be loaded after you opt in through the cookie preferences control. You can decline without losing access to the website.
For more detail, see our Cookie Policy.
7. Security and how long information is kept
We aim to use suitable security measures to reduce the risk of unauthorised access, misuse or loss, recognising that no online system is entirely risk-free.
We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described, including service administration, required records, tax or legal requirements, and legitimate disputes. Specific retention periods depend on the type of record; you can contact us for more detail.
8. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you the right to request access to, correction or deletion of personal data, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to certain processing. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful use.
To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
9. Questions and complaints
Please contact us if you have concerns about how your data has been handled. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
10. Changes to this notice
We may revise this notice if our website, service processes or applicable requirements change. The updated wording and date will be published here. Before the new enquiry and CRM integration goes live, this notice should be checked against the final data flow and providers.
